Aja Bailey begins her first year as the Video Coordinator for the Alabama State University football program in 2020-21.
She is responsible for filming practices and games for the Hornets, while also creating game highlights. Bailey is also responsible for operating DV Sports film exchange during the season, and breakdown of practices for the coaching staff; while also assisting the coaching staff in accessing important parts of the broken down film.
Bailey, a 2020 graduate of Alabama State, worked as a production assistant for WSFA in Montgomery (Ala.) through her final semester. She was responsible for camera operation, teleprompters and graphics; while also being trained on Ross Overdrive (Carbonite Black System, Mosaic and Caprica), VIZ RT graphics and ENPS.
Prior to that, she served as an intern for four months as a technical director and operating live shoots for weather and sports.
Bailey is a member of the National Society of Leadership and Success, and the National Association of Black Journalists. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Communication (Television and Radio).
