Damian Wilson is in his first season as graduate assistant coach on the Alabama State University football staff as an assistant offensive line coach. Wilson joins Alabama State after serving as the assistant offensive line coach at SWAC rival the University of Arkansas-Pine Bluff.

A former SWAC student-athlete and accomplished offensive lineman, Wilson brings a strong foundation of collegiate playing experience, a deep understanding of offensive line play, and a passion for player development that will benefit the Golden Lions' front line.

A native of Montgomery, Alabama, Wilson began his college career at Alabama State University (2017–2019) before continuing at Virginia State University (2019–2021) and Edward Waters University (2022). He earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Marketing from Virginia State University in May 2022.

Following his playing career, Wilson wasted no time transitioning into coaching, quickly gaining a reputation as a rising star in the profession. In 2023, he returned home to serve as Varsity Offensive Line Coach at G.W. Carver High School in Montgomery, where he helped shape young athletes both on and off the field. He then spent time at Germantown High School in Memphis, Tenn., in early 2025 before accepting the opportunity to join UAPB.

Known for his technical teaching, attention to detail, and player-first approach, Wilson is committed to developing offensive linemen who are disciplined, fundamentally sound, and physically dominant. His coaching philosophy centers on building young men of character who approach the game with purpose and pride.
