Tarvaris Jackson returns to his alma mater after a 10-year career in the National Football League. He was drafted in the second round by the Minnesota Vikings in the 2006 NFL Draft, and played for the Vikings, Seattle Seahawks and Buffalo Bills.

Jackson played for the Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks when the team won Super Bowl 48 during the 2013-2014 season. During his NFL career, Jackson accumulated 45 career touchdowns during is professional playing career.

Jackson started his collegiate career at the University of Arkansas, before transferring to Alabama State in 2003. During his collegiate career, Jackson completed 516 passes in 955 attempts for 7.397 yards. He also threw for 64 touchdowns in his collegiate career. While at Alabama State, Jackson was named team captain his senior season and was selected as an All-SWAC performer in 2005.

He also rushed for 11 touchdowns in his collegiate career. Jackson led Alabama State to the SWAC Championship game after winning the East Division in his time as a Hornet.

A Montgomery native and Sidney Lanier graduate, Jackson is married to Lakitta Jackson and the couple has three children – Tarvaris, Takyla and Tyson.

He received his Bachelors degree from Troy University in Psychology in 2014.
