Alabama State University Athletics

2024 (Alabama State): Played in 10 games as a tight end and on the offensive line...caught five passes as a tight end with a season-high two for 26 yards and a touchdown against Alabama A&M (MCC)...had one grab for 33 yards at Grambling State...also caught passes against Miles and Samford...offensive line paved the way for 2,028 rushing yards this season, becoming the first team to rush for 2000 yards since 2019. The Hogs paved the way for four 200-yard rushing games, including a season-high 308 at Bethune-Cookman. ASU rushed for 211 yards against Florida A&M, 203 against North Carolina Central, and 204 against Alabama A&M. Alabama State rushed for 100 yards in 10-of-12 games, missing the 100-yard mark Alcorn State and Grambling State. The Hornets out rushed 9-of-12 opponents, and the 18 sacks tied for second in fewest sacks allowed.  ASU ranks averaged 169.0 yards per game, ranking 4th in the SWAC after ranking 11th in 2023.

JUCO: Played two seasons at Northwest Mississippi Community College in Senatobia, Miss....saw time in 18 games with for catches for 43 yards in two seasons....played for coach Jason Russell at Olive Branch High School before NWMCC...played on both sides of the ball for the 6A Conquistadors....caught seven passes for 56 yards and gained an additional 110 on kick returns as a senior....also had 12 tackles, two tackles for loss, and a sack during his final campaign.

HIGH SCHOOL: Played for coach Jason Russell at Olive Branch High School in Olive Branch, Miss…versatile athlete who played on both sides of the ball for the 6A Conquistadors…caught seven passes for 56 yards and gained an additional 110 on kick returns…also had 12 tackles, two tackles for loss, and a sack during his final campaign…received recruiting interest from Judson and multiple MACCC schools.

PERSONAL: Son of Katina Harden…has two siblings – Derion and Devlin…Honor Roll student at Olive Branch…studying computer science…enjoys fishing, video games, playing basketball, and Uno in his free time…nickname is “Dj”…born February 5, 2004.
