Previous School (at Jacksonville State): Last season during spring season, Second Team All-OVC... Played in 13 games, starting 11... Finished with 30 total tackles last season, including 22 solo stops... During 2019 season, received a medical redshirt after missing the entire season with an injury... During 2018 season, made appearances in all 13 games as a redshirt sophomore, while starting 12 contests at cornerback... Recorded 29 tackles on the year, including 20 unassisted… Also picked up a tackle for loss for a total of two yards… Twice made four tackles in one game, against Mississippi Valley State on Sept. 8 and again on Oct. 20 against Southeast Missouri State… Picked up three tackles in one game on six different occasions… Broke up 12 passes on the year and forced a fumble against Mississippi Valley State... During 2017 season, appeared in all 12 games and started six at cornerback… Made his NCAA debut Aug. 26 in the Gamecocks’ season-opener against Chattanooga… Wrapped up 12 solo tackles and eight assisted tackles in the secondary…Defended four passes and had four break-ups… Recorded six multi-tackle games… Earned a career-best four tackles at Austin Peay on Oct. 7, coming away with two solo tackles and two assisted… Also broke up a pass against the Govs in Clarksville, Tenn... Sat out 2016 season.
 
High School: A two-star recruit by 247Sports, Scout.com and Rivals prepped for head coach Ezell Powell at Georgiana High School in Georgiana, Ala… A  second team All-State selection by the Alabama Sports Writers Association as a senior, Georgiana’s first All-State player in 11 years… Helped the Panthers to an 11-2 record and to the third round of the AHSAA Class 1A Playoffs… Also an All-State point guard for the Panthers on the basketball court.
