UNIVERSITY OF NORTH ALABAMA:  Played for the Lions from 2023-2025...redshirted in 2023...; participated in the 2024 UNA "Purple vs. White" Spring Game...recorded a sack on fourth down late in the fourth quarter to help Team White earn the victory.

HIGH SCHOOL: Played linebacker and running back at Spanish Fort High School … Helped lead the Toros to state championship appearances in 2019 and 2020 … Earned all-state and all-area honors … Also lettered in track and baseball.

PERSONAL: Goes by "JoJo"...son of Ivieless and Curtis Hixon ... has four siblings...will be a teammate with brother Nemo Hixon...brothers Jeremiah and Zach also played football at Alabama State...majoring in secondary education—mathematics.
