2025-26: Played in 31 games (12 starts) in his first season with the Hornets...Averaged 10.3 points on a 46.6 percent shooting mark and 77.4 percent free throw clip...Snagged a team-best 53 steals...Had 18 points, five rebounds, five assists and a season-best five steals in the team's win over Virginia-Lynchburg (Nov. 14)...Cemented his role in the starting lineup with a 29 point, eight rebound performance at Texas Southern (Jan. 27)...Played stellar basketball down the stretch, scoring in double figures in eight of Alabama State's final 13 contests of the season.

Byrd also hit 70 percent of his free throws.
