Kodie Johnson

Kodie Johnson begins her first season at Alabama State as an assistant soccer coach, after spending last season working for Last Defense Goalkeeping Academy under Ron Apollon.

She also trained and developed goalkeepers for club NASA TopHat in Atlanta.

Johnson has an extensive playing career as she played for Ottawa University 2016-17 and 2017-18. As the goalkeeper for the Braves, she helped team to back-to-back NAIA sweet 16 National Championship tournament appearances.

During the 2017 season. Johnson earned defensive player of the week with 13 saves and one shutout. The Braves 16th in the nation in 2017, and were ranked 17th in the nation in 2016.

Johnson graduated in 2018 from Ottawa (Kan.) University with a Bachelor’s in Exercise Science. She later earned her Master’s in 2021 in Sports Administration from Georgia State University. While earning her Master’s, she served as a graduate assistant at Agnes Scott College.

While at Agnes Scott College, Johnson was in charge of goalkeeper development and assisting the head coach.
