Marissa Parker was named Assistant Soccer Coach of the Alabama State Women’s Soccer program in July 2022, joining Head Coach Jodie Smith's staff  Hornets following three seasons at Middle Georgia College.

“I am very pleased to add Marissa to our coaching staff.” Said Smith. “Her experience as both a player and coach will be a great benefit to our team.”

While at MGC, she worked with the team’s defensive players as well as supported the office with travel, scheduling, and the team budget.

Before getting into coaching, she was a decorated player for Middle Georgia, helping the program transition from the Junior College ranks to NAIA. Parker earned defensive player awards from her center-left back position while leading MGC to the program's first Southern State Athletic Conference Final Four.

The Hiram, Ga., native graduated with a degree in health service administration and is currently pursuing a Masters in sports management
