Wasila begins her first season as an assistant coach with the Hornets.
She played three seasons at LSU where she was named All-SEC Second Team following the 2022 season. She was also named to the 2022 NCAA All-Region Team.
Following the 2021 season she was named to the Fall SEC Academic Honor Roll and the 2020-21 SEC First Year Academic Honor Roll.
The Ghana native started 53 of the 56 matches she played in with LSU and logged over 4,000 minutes on the pitch. She scored four goals in her final season with the Tigers including one against Florida State in the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
Before arriving in Baton Rouge, she spent time at Lamar University (2019) and at Navarro College (2017-18). She started four matches at Lamar before suffering a season-ending knee injury. In her two seasons at Navarro, she scored 30 goals and had 28 assists and helped lead Navarro to the NJCAA Tournament Quarterfinals in 2018.
In international play, Diwuira-Soale was a member of Ghana’s U17 World Cup Team as Ghana won the bronze medal. She was also a member of the U20 World Cup team in 2014.
