     Brooks averaged a double-double with 12 points and 10 assists along with 4.5 rebounds and 3.0 steals in a pair of road wins for the first-place Hornets.
     Brooks had 10 points, five rebounds, seven assists and three steals Saturday in a 65-53 win over Prairie View A&M. Monday night at Texas Southern, Brooks scored 14 points with four rebounds and 13 assists in the 72-56 win. The assists total was the most by a SWAC player in a game this season.
