Hines finished the week scoring 40 points in three games, scoring in double figures in all three and pushing him to seven consecutive games in double figures to open the season. He averaged 13.3 points per game over the three games to go along with 3.3 rebounds and 5.3 assists per game. The junior shot 44.4 (11-of-25) percent from the floor, 50 (5-of-10) percent from beyond the arc, and 81.8 (9-of-11) percent from the free throw line to help Alabama State to a 2-1 record in Birmingham. He scored 12 points, grabbed four assists, and added five rebounds against Samford before scoring 10 points and dishing out six assists against North Carolina A&T. He closed out the week by scoring 14 points, grabbing four rebounds, and dishing out five assists before fouling out in just 26 minutes against Merrimack.
