Alabama State defensive back Mikey Victor accepted his invitation to play in the 99th East-West Shrine Bowl on Thursday, Feb. 1 in Frisco (Texas).
 
Victor, fresh off his Hula Bowl experience, is one of 16 cornerbacks who accepted their invitation to play in the game including 11 players from Power 5 programs. Victor is just one of two FCS cornerbacks invited to the game and the only HBCU representative.
 
He finished his Alabama State career being named a finalist for the Aeneas Williams Award and was an All-SWAC Second-Team performer. He led the conference and was ranked second in the FCS with 1.7 passes defended per game. Victory finished the year with 36 tackles and led the SWAC with 15 passes defended and two interceptions.
