Jakayla Hill, Alabama State

Hill was instrumental as the Lady Hornets also opened 2-0 in conference action.  She averaged eight points, 2.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.0 steals over the two-game weekend.  Against Jackson State, she tallied eight points, a rebound and four assists.  Facing Grambling State, she scored the game-winning layup with 16 seconds remaining to give Alabama State the win.  She finished with eight points, four rebounds, three assists and two steals.  For the season, she is averaging 3.2 points, 2.2 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 0.5 steals per outing.
