Montgomery—Alabama State University has signed 27 student-athletes to National Letters of Intent to play for the Hornets.
Alabama State signed 12 defense players, 13 offensive players and two utility men to the roster.
This is one of the largest classes that ASU has seen in the last five years.
Twenty-one of the players are high school recruits that may get to see immediate action on the field this season.
ASU has strengthened its offense by adding three offensive linemen and two wide receivers.
Defense has always been the strength of ASU's team and this recruiting class is sure to strengthen both sides of the ball.
Much of the success of this class was attributed to a lot of hard work from the staff and a boost from the selection of former Hornets.
