ASU SOCCER FIGHTS HARD AT TEXAS SOUTHERN
Houston, Tx.- The Alabama State Soccer team battled hard at Texas Southern today. However, they were unable to survive on the road falling 4-2 from Houston, Texas.
The lady Hornets scored the game's first goal from Monique Sylvester. Danielle Miller scored again for ASU in the second period. Both ASU goals were assisted by Lenna Lamas. Meanwhile Texas Southern scored two apiece in each period.
“Despite the loss we continue to have progress”. Head coach Jodie Smith said. “Today we made some mental errors during critical situations”. The loss puts the Lady Hornets at 1-9 overall and 0-2 in the SWAC.
ASU returns home to host Arch Rival Alabama A&M Friday from Hornet Stadium. The match starts at 7 p.m. where admission is free.
