Montgomery, Ala. – With the regular season winding down, the Alabama State soccer team looks to make one last strike at entering the Southwestern Athletic Conference tournament as they travel to Huntsville to face rival Alabama A&M in a SWAC Eastern Division showdown on Friday, October 21 at 3 p.m. 
 
“Friday's match against Alabama A&M is going to be a real tight contest,” said Coach Smith. “This game will be like a one game playoff match to see who will be the last team to represent the SWAC East respectively in the tournament next month and the atmosphere will show.”
 
Led by junior midfielder Lenna Lamas, the Lady Hornets have been playing better defensively in their last four games and look to continue their efforts in tomorrow's clash.
 
Alabama State is 1-15-1 overall and 0-2-1 in conference play, while Alabama A&M sets at 1-12-1 overall and 0-2-1 in SWAC play.
