Cannon Named Co-Offensive Player of the Week

Box Score The Southwestern Athletic Conference announced Alabama State's sophomore forward Alexandria Cannon as the co-offensive player of the week for soccer.

“She's really started to produce for us lately,” head coach Jodie Smith said. “She's scored a goal in the past three contests, so again I'm delighted to have her being recognized for her accomplishments. I've always believed she was capable of scoring a lot of goals, but she's coming into her own now and continues to work hard daily.”

Cannon, the Chattanooga, Tenn. native registered an assist and a goal in the victory over in-state rival and conference foe Alabama A&M last Friday. She has played a vital role in the Lady Hornets accomplishments this season.
