“It was a game of ups and downs for us and I am both disappointed and encouraged,” Head Coach Penny Lucas-White said.  “We played a very solid Kennesaw team and you have to be good to beat a team from the Southeastern Conference like they did, but I did not think we came out with the intensity we needed to play with.”

“To see us fall behind each game did not make me happy at all, but to see the way the girls battled back in each game was the part that was encouraging to me.  We have to learn to play with intensity each point and we have to learn how to finish games.”

ASU (1-18) does not have long to sit around as they will travel to Baton Rouge to play in the Southern Invitational on Friday and Saturday of this week.  ASU will open play at 10 a.m. on Friday against Grambling State.
