ASU Men's Tennis Falls to Jacksonville State

JACKSONVILLE, Ala. – The Alabama State Men's tennis team fell to Jacksonville State 7-0 today in Jacksonville, Ala. at the JSU Tennis Center.

“We are making some improvements and we're headed in the right direction,” head coach Anuk Christiansz said. “I'm very proud of the guys for the improvements we're making going down the final stretch. I'm very optimistic about the program and where it is headed the rest of this year and in the years to come.”

The Hornets (2-6) opened its day with the doubles match. Although ASU lost 7-0, Rodrick Ivory and Stefan Vojnic defeated Felipe Watanabe and Felipe Wenzel in doubles play 8-6.

Jacksonville State (3-7) won all of the singles competition on the day.

Alabama State men's and women's tennis teams will host Western Kentucky at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 8 at the Olean Black Underwood Tennis Center here on the campus of ASU.
