HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – The Alabama State tennis teams were topped by Alabama A&M 6-1 and 7-0 on “The Hill” today.
“Tough loss that I thought we should have had,” said head coach
Anuk Christiansz. “I think our guys will have to go back and practice really hard this week to prepare for the tournament. We are looking forward to it and hopefully be able to end our season on a high note with a couple of wins.”
The Lady Hornets have dropped three matches to the Lady Bulldogs this season. With the loss today, ASU falls to 1-8 in conference play and finishes their season with a 1-12 overall record.
The Hornets (4-10 overall, 3-4 SWAC) fell 6-1 to the Bulldogs today, winning two-of-three in the series this season. The Alabama State men's tennis team will travel to compete in the Southwestern Athletic Conference Championships which will be held in Alexandria, La. on Friday, April 20-22.
