ALEXANDRIA, La. – The Alabama State men's tennis team fell to Alcorn in the second round of the Southwestern Athletic Conference Championships on Saturday, 4-0.
 
The Hornets (6-14 overall/3-3 SWAC) finished their season in fourth place on the season. ASU fought hard to the end, but couldn't hang on in its singles and doubles competition.
 
“We made a good run at the end of the season winning enough matches to get into the tournament,” head coach Anuk Christiansz said. “I'm very proud of the guys and hopefully we can make another run at the SWAC title again next season. We are already looking forward to recruiting and getting back into the swing of things for next season.”
