The Southwestern Athletic Conference and College Sports Madness has named Anastasia McCleary soccer player of week on Tuesday for her exceptional performance during this past weekend's action.

"She's a tremendously hard worker on and off the field," Head coach Jodie Smith stated. "It's a great honor that she's being recognized for her accomplishments and we're looking forward to her continuing to have great success for us throughout the season."

McCleary leads the conference in goals scored (2) and in points (4). The two-sport (track) freshman athlete scored her first two collegiate goals in an Alabama State 5-3 loss to in-state rival Troy on Friday afternoon. She also had two shots and two shotson goal.

The College Sports Madness identifies the highest impact players nationally and from each conference weekly in its feature stories.

The SWAC will recognize a defensive and offensive impact player each week until SWAC Tournament.
