The Alabama State University soccer team will travel to Mobile to face in-state rival the University of South Alabama Tuesday, September 4 at 7 p.m.
The Lady Hornets (1-3) dropped two matches on the road this weekend in the Bulldog/Sleep Inn Classic to Francis Marion 3-1 and South Carolina State 4-0 in Orangeburg, S.C. and will look to bounce back against USA on tomorrow.
ASU was outshot by the FMU Patriots 20-6 and by the SCSU Bulldogs, 20-2. Sophomore goalkeeper
Kylee Hathaway had 16 saves on the weekend.
“We've had a chance to review and breakdown the film from this weekend's matches,” Head Coach
Jodie Smith said. “We'll look to correct the mental mistakes we've been having here lately, go out and try to play our best. We are getting back on the field tomorrow, continuing to grow and get better as a team.”
The South Alabama Jaguars (2-2) lost their last match to the Bulldogs of Mississippi State 5-0 on last Friday in Starkville, Miss. The Bulldogs outshot the Jags 14-11 in the loss.
