Alabama State Soccer team was defeated by Jackson State in the 2013 Southwestern Athletic Championship Tournament game, with a final score of 1-0.
"I'm disappointed in the result, we played a good game, but it was a mistake in the back that cost us the game." said head coach

The Lady Tigers out shot the Lady Hornets 11-7 in the match with the only goal coming in 56
th minute mark, from Sie'Yara Wells from five yards out.
"This is building block, we never made it this far before, so this will be a teaching moment and a great way to show the growth of our program."Â Smith said.

This loss snaps the Lady Hornets 11 game win streak. Aaliyah and
Ariela Lewis both made All-Tournament first team selections.
