The Alabama State men's and women's tennis teams will travel to compete against Florida A&M Friday, February 8 in Tallahassee, Fla. at the Rattler Tennis Center. First match is slated for 1 p.m.
“Well, we look to improve during each outing this season,” Head Coach
Anuk Christiansz said. “I'm proud of the guys for getting their season started on a good note. The ladies are improving, but we still have a lot of work to do on both ends.”
The Hornets (2-1 overall) are coming off a 5-2 victory over the Tigers of Stillman College on last Friday evening. The men's team won all three of their doubles matches and won three out of five of their singles matches. Senior

Stefan Vojnic all won their singles match-ups.
The Lady Hornets (0-2 overall) fell to the Tigers 4-3 in their contest. Freshman Axantxia Wijngaarde and sophomore
Nathalie Lorenco won their doubles match over Stillman College's Whitney Horner and Rosana Mederias (8-2). In singles action, Wijngaarde, freshmen
Melissa Telfer and Katji Kraus won each of their match-ups.
