Tennis Falls to Jacksonville State

JACKSONVILLE, Ala. – The Alabama State Men's and Women's tennis teams fell to the Jacksonville Gamecocks 7-0 in Jacksonville, Ala. at the JSU Tennis Courts on Friday evening.

“I think we played well today,” Head Coach Anuk Christiansz said. “The guys played hard. Bobby had a great match in singles as well as Jarred and the other guys. They are a good team and are very aggressive. We are very young team and we still have a long way to go, but I'm happy about how we are progressing.”

“The ladies did well today as well. They are growing and learning the system more each and every day. Even though we've played down all season, I still excited about how they are playing.”

The Hornets (5-9 overall) began the day well playing three hard fought doubles matches, but falling (8-2, 8-2, 8-1) in each match. ASU also lost each of its singles matches today.

The Lady Hornets (3-11) dropped their doubles matches as well as their singles matches today.
