Â

Â
The women's match was close all the way just like the men's. The Lady Hornets managed to win the doubles point, but quickly fell behind 3-1 after UNA picked up three quick singles wins.
Â
The Lady Hornets got singles wins from Arantixa Wijingaarde and
Irina Cvijovic to even the score at three with all the marbles falling on

Â
"These were huge wins for our programs," Head Coach
Anuk Christiansz said. "Last year our men lost to them 6-1 and the women fell also, so to see us be able to win this year speaks volumes about how hard these teams play. These are good games for us to go through leading into the SWAC Round Up this weekend."
Â
ASU men push their record to 5-9 on the season while the women are now 7-9. The seven wins for the Lady Hornets represents the most wins for the program in over five years.
Â
ASU will play host to the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) final Round Up of the season this Friday and Saturday, March 28-29. ASU opens play at 9 a.m. Friday against Southern University and will face Alcorn State at 3 p.m. later in the day.
Â
The SWAC Round Up will be played at three different locations in Montgomery. Some will be played at Lagoon Park Tennis Center and others will be played at O'Connor Tennis Center, while ASU will host several matches at the Olean Black Underwood Tennis Complex. All of ASU's matches will be played at Olean Black Underwood.
