Fresh off the season's first Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Round Up, the ASU men's and women's tennis teams will be back in action Friday, March 7 when they host Tuskegee University at 1:30 p.m. at the Olean Black Underwood Tennis Complex.
Â
"I want the momentum to continue in terms of the energy we showed in doubles and singles both on the men's and women's team," Head Coach
Anuk Christiansz said. "I think as the season is slowly winding down in some ways I want us to progressively get better and for our confidence to get better and for us to get better taking care of the little details that will help take us to the next level."
Â
The Hornets enter the match with a 3-6 record while the Lady Hornets stand 4-8 as ASU's neighbors from up I-85 make their way down to Montgomery. ASU has a few more matches, along with the Tuskegee match, to continue to get better before hosting the season's second SWAC Round Up the last weekend of March.
Â
"I have to say I want to win all of the matches, but we are really only into our second season because when I got here it was late in the year and we did not have time to put together a team," Christiansz said. "I am happy with where we are, but I know we have such a long way to go and these matches before the next round up should help us continue on the road to improvement."
