After posting a 1-1 record this past weekend in South Carolina the Alabama State soccer team travels to Troy,
Tuesday afternoon to take on the Trojans at the Troy Soccer Complex.
"We showed some character and learned something's from this weekend, so now we are looking forward," head coach
Jodie Smith said. "Well we have had a long running series with the Trojans and really haven't played well against them. I'm encouraged by how we looked Sunday so I'm really looking forward to a great match."
With Troy (0-2) having seven starters and 13 letter winners from last season's team returning, they will be looking for their first win. The Trojans dropped their weekend games to Louisiana State 0-2 and 2-4 to Louisiana Tech.
Alabama State will be back in action Friday for their home opener when they USC-Upstate at the ASU Soccer Complex in Montgomery, Ala. The match is slated for
7 p.m.
