It's been seven seasons since the teams last met, but the Alabama State women's soccer team will play at Alabama in Tuscaloosa on Sunday.

The Lady Hornets (3-5 overall, 2-4 road) will be looking to break a three-match skid and get more shots put on goal.  Opponents have held a 102-27 shots on goal advantage thus far through eight matches this season and have outscored ASU 21-4. 
 
Sophomore striker Aaliyah Lewis leads the Lady Hornets with three goals, an assist and two game-winning goals.  Lewis also leads the team in shots with 18 and shots on goal with nine. 
 
In goal, Kylee Hathaway and Zaria Maynard have split time in recent matches.  Hathaway has 73 saves in over 518 minutes of action (.793 save percentage) while Maynard has tallied seven saves in just over 91 minutes in net (.778 save percentage). 
 
The Crimson Tide (4-3 overall, 3-3 at home) have held a 70-38 shots on goal advantage versus the opposition while outscoring opponents 18-10. 
 
Alabama is led by Theresa Diederich, who had a team-high 12 points (four goals, four assists), and Laura Lee Smith, who has five goals.  Each player has a game-winning goal this season. 
 
In goal, Emily Rusk has 15 saves in 450 minutes (.714 save percentage).  Next on the depth chart, Kat Stratton has recorded 13 saves in 290 minutes (.765 save percentage). 
 
The Crimson Tide has been successful in getting out to leads as they have outscored opponents 12-1 in the first half.
