The Prairie View Lady Panthers are led in scoring by Jeanette Jackson who not only leads her team, but also leads the conference averaging 17.6 ppg. Teammate Shamiya Brooks leads PV in rebounding averaging 9.3 rpg. PVAM is currently ranked third in the conference behind Texas Southern (first place) and Southern (second place) and is currently one of the hottest teams in the conference. As a team, Prairie View averages 60.4 ppg.
Â
"Prairie View's Jackson is still playing well along with her other teammates," said head coach
Freda Freeman-Jackson.  "We know that she can score, we were able to contain in the last game we played against Prairie View. We still have our work cut out for us."
Five-time Southwestern Athletic Conference Player of the Week
Britney Wright and teammate
Daniele Ewert scored 13 points apiece in the 64-52 loss to Texas Southern.
Jasmine Peeples, who still leads the team in rebounding, had 10 in the game and added eight points. As a team, ASU averages 60.7 points per game.
Â
"As a team, we are marking our average and we know that Britney and Jasmine are going to do what they need to do, but we need more out of everybody. Ewert has come in, has done some things for us and played a lot more aggressive ball. She's scoring when we need her to, but we can't just score and not play defense. We have to play on both ends of the court," Freeman-Jackson said of her team.
