Tennis Host Alabama A&M

Alabama State University's tennis teams will host Alabama A&M in the regular season finale Saturday, April 4 at 1 p.m.  Before the match the tennis team will also honor two seniors, Stefan Vojnic and Nathalie Lorenco, who will be making their final home appearance for ASU.

Both teams may be peaking at the right time with the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Tournament set to begin next week in New Orleans.

The Hornets (7-15) have won five of their last six matches, including Wednesday's win over Tennessee State.  The Lady Hornets (8-10) have won seven of their last 12 matches and that includes winning four of their seven conference matches, which is the first time in several years the Lady Hornets have finished with a winning conference record.

"I see this as a very important match for both teams," Head Coach Anuk Christiansz said.  "I want us to go into the tournament next week with some momentum and coming off strong performances and picking up wins will be crucial for us to gain that momentum."
