MONTGOMERY, Ala.  – Lightning caused the Alabama State and Jacksonville State women's soccer match to be cancelled after play was halted with 23:47 remaining in the second half with the teams tied at 2-2. 

It was the second such instance of a lightning delay after play had been interrupted for approximately 30 minutes during the first half. 

Aaliyah Lewis had scored on an assist from Inma Martinez in the 10^th minute while Lexi Krieger had put in a goal on a header off a feed from Emily Fleming in the 33^rd minute to lead the Lady Hornets. 

Nadia Plawiuk and Nicola Dominikovich had scored for the Gamecocks.

However, the result  and statistics will not count toward each team's totals.  

Alabama State will next host Faulkner on Friday at 7 p.m.  from the ASU Soccer Complex.
