"The girls did a great job tonight and played with a lot of energy," Alabama State University head coach Penny Lucas-White said. "We got to play almost the entire bench tonight and they held the standard that was set.

"I love all the hitting percentages, it was just one nice team outing and they showed up. Krysta (Medearis) had a wonderful night, but you can't just say Krysta. She hit a .381, Bayle' hit a .636, Briana hit .500, Payten hit a .600. Oh my goodness. I just thought it was a total team effort, they did well and I am pleased."

Alabama State will hit the road Thursday night to face Alabama A&M in conference action. The match is scheduled to start at 7 pm in Huntsville.
