MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Alabama State University men's tennis team remained unbeaten in conference play with a 4-0 victory over Mississippi Valley State University in the first match of the SWAC Roundup held at the Olean Black Underwood Tennis Center Friday morning.
Alabama State (5-11, 5-0 SWAC) swept through doubles play, winning all three matches 6-0, to claim the point and jump out to an early 1-0 overall lead. The Hornets carried that over into singles play, where the team did not drop a single point throughout the match.
The Hornets picked up wins from
Ion Efrim (number one),
Carl-Louis Luckmann (number two) and
Digvijay Naruka (number six) to claim the overall victory.
