COLUMBIA, S.C. - Alabama State Track and Field finished with 23 top-ten finishes during the 22nd edition of the Weems Baskin Invitational hosted by the South Carolina Gamecocks on the Cregger Track in Columbia, South Carolina.

In addition to the Hornets and the host Gamecocks the field included student-athletes from Appalachian State, Ashland, Allen, Anderson, Benedict, Charleston Southern, Claflin, Coastal Carolina, Coker, College of Charleston, Columbia College, Columbia International, Coppin State, East Tennessee State, Illinois, Marian, Monroe, Morgan State, Morris, North Greenville, Paine, St. Andrew's, St. Augustine's, Savannah State, Tennessee Tech, Tennessee State, The Citadel, UNC Asheville, UNC Greensboro, VMI and Virginia Tech.

"I feel both teams came and performed well this weekend. It was a tough two days of competition. They are coming of a short week of rest. I am excited to how we will move up in conference and regional standings with some of this weekend performances."
