Alabama State went undefeated in conference play this season

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Alabama State University men's tennis team looks to win their second Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) championship in school history, but first since 2015, as they earned the top seed for the upcoming championship tournament to be played at City Park/Pepsi Tennis Center in New Orleans this weekend.

Alabama State, who finished undefeated in the regular season during conference play, will need to win just two matches in two days to claim the championship.

The Hornets will open the tournament on Saturday afternoon at 1 pm against fourth-seeded Prairie View A&M. The Hornets defeated Prairie View A&M 4-1 during the regular season.

On the bottom half of the bracket, second-seeded Jackson State will face third-seeded Alcorn State in the semifinals.
