Alabama State leads the all-time series 18-12-2, and have won six of the last seven games, with the lone Texas Southern win during the streak coming in 2016 when the Tigers claimed a 31-27 victory.

Ezra Gray – who missed the Magic City Classic – with 287 yards rushing on 67 carries, including 130 of those coming against Alcorn State in a five-overtime victory.
KHA'Darris Davis has started the last three games for the Hornets, throwing for 529 yards and four touchdowns – including matching his career-high with 181 yards against Alabama A&M.
