MONTGOMERY, Ala. | Alabama State returns to action with a pair of matches in Hattiesburg (Miss.) over the weekend, as both teams are looking for their first victories of the season.
On the men's side, Alabama State (0-4) will open the weekend against the host team, Southern Miss (1-1), who comes off a 4-0 sweep of Florida A&M over the weekend before having a pair of matches postponed. That match is scheduled for 10 am on Friday morning.
The Hornets will then take on Youngstown State (0-2) who has lost their first two matches of the season by identical 4-3 scores to Duquesne and DePaul. That match is scheduled for Saturday at 10 am.
On the women's side, Alabama State (0-1) hits the court for the first time since a loss to Mercer and they will face Southern Miss (1-1), who comes in following a 4-2 victory over Arkansas State.
The Lady Hornets will then face West Alabama at 10 am Saturday.
