MONTGOMERY, Ala. | Alabama State travels to Memphis, (Tenn.) for a pair of matches against Tennessee State University at the Whitehaven Tennis Center Sunday afternoon, despite having their Saturday matches postponed due to weather.
The Lady Hornets (0-3) are looking to bounce back from two losses on the road to Southern Miss and West Alabama. In their last match, the Lady Hornets dropped a 4-3 match to West Alabama after the deciding point came when
Lea Krajcovicova battled back to force the match to three sets, but ultimately fell 7-6.
On the men's side, Alabama State (0-6) is seeking a victory after falling 6-1 to Southern Miss in which
Ion Efrim picked up the lone Hornets' victory at number one singles.
Tennessee State is coming off victories against Lemoyne-Owen College in which the women won 7-2, and the men claimed a 9-0 victory. The last time the teams met was April 2015 where both teams came away with the sweep as the Lady Hornets won 7-0 and the Hornets won 5-2.
The match begins at 12 noon at the Whitehaven Tennis Center.
