MONTGOMERY, Ala. | Alabama State tennis hosts a pair of matches this weekend at the Olean Black Underwood Tennis Center.

The Lady Hornets (4-4) are looking to keep their winning streak as they take on Nicholls State Sunday. They enter the match after defeating Southern and Prairie View A&M, 4-2, at the SWAC Roundup last week in Baton Rouge. Â

On the men's side, Alabama State (3-7) is in search of their second consecutive victory after defeating Prairie View A&M, 4-1, last week in a Southwestern Athletic Conference matchup (SWAC). The men will host Kennesaw State on Saturday morning at 11 am, a team that they dropped a 4-0 decision to last February.

The Nicholls State tennis teams are coming off losses to Abilene Christian College in which the women fell 5-2 and the men dropped a 6-1 decision in their conference season opener. The last time the men faced Nicholls State was in March of 2013 when they dropped a 4-3 match, while the women's game was canceled due to weather in November 2016.

The match begins of at 11 am on Saturday and Sunday with admission being free to all students.
