Alabama State picks up 4-3 victory over Nicholls State

Alabama State comes back from 1-0 deficit

Box Score MONTGOMERY, Ala. | Alabama State defeated Nicholls State at the Olean Black Underwood Tennis Courts 4-3 Sunday afternoon.
 
Alabama State (4-8) jumped ahead in the match after dropping the first doubles match, losing at number one and two for the point to trail 1-0. The team of Carl Louis-Luckmann and Tomas Fernandez picked up a 7-5 win at number three.
 
In singles play, Fernandez picked up a 6-1, 6-4 victory at number one three. Alexis Collard gave Alabama State a 3-1 lead with a 3-6, 6-1, 6-2 victory over Alvaro Barranco of Nicholls State.
 
The match was clinched when Efrim earned a 6-2, 6-4 victory at number one over Sasha Prodgursky.
 
Alabama State returns to action next Sunday, March 11, with the match scheduled to start at 11 am at the Olean Black Underwood Tennis Center.
