Greeley, Colo. | Despite dropping its second match in as many tries, Alabama State has a multitude of positives it can extract from Friday evening's 3-0 (15-25, 14-25, 17-25) loss to San Jose State at Bank of Colorado Arena.

All 12 members of the Lady Hornets (3-6) have seen significant action in the loaded field – including three freshman – and junior Payten Clark has returned to the middle of the lineup, allowing for coach Penny Lucas-White more flexibility with her team.

The Lady Hornets fought until the end, leading 8-3 in the final set before two big runs sealed it for the Trojans (3-2). Candace Martin (six kills, two blocks) and Bayle' Bennett (six kills) were the offensive bright spots, while Kori Kutsch recorded another double double with 15 assists and 10 digs.

Alabama State returns to action tomorrow with a 12 pm match against Northern Colorado. A live stream of the match can be found here.
