MONTGOMERY, Ala. | Alabama State will host their lone home tournament of the season this weekend with the ISTAP Hornet Classic set to begin Friday at Bowlero.

The tournament will take place Friday through Sunday at the location – the old Brunswick Lanes – and the Hornets will honor their seniors Friday morning at 8:15 am prior to the beginning of the tournament. Teams that will be competing in the tournament include Alabama State, Alabama A&M, Bethune-Cookman, Florida A&M, Jackson State, Southern and Kentucky Wesleyan.

The tournament gets underway Friday morning at the conclusion of the Senior Day ceremony with teams competing in five, total pin Baker matches. On Saturday, the teams will compete in traditional style play, beginning at 9:45 a.m. Meanwhile, on Sunday will feature a best of seven Baker match as the teams aim to advance through a pre-seeded bracket. The seeding will be determined by each club's respective performance throughout the weekend. At the conclusion of the tournament, a brief awards ceremony will be held to honor the top performers from the competition.
