OXFORD, Miss. | Alabama State fought hard but fell short to Ole Miss, 93-66, in its non-conference finale Saturday afternoon at The Pavilion.
 
The Lady Hornets (3-8) led by three at the end of the first quarter and extended that lead to eight in the second quarter, but the Lady Rebels (7-6) flipped the script with a 22-6 run to close out the first half. 
Aniyah Smith paced Bama State with eight points at the half – she finished the game with a team-high 12 points.
 
Ayana Emmanuel also scored 12 points, while dishing out three assists and grabbing four rebounds. Smith and Emmanuel were two of four Lady Hornets in double-digits for the game – joining 
Zomoria Clark (11) and 
Hannah White (10).
 
Clark finished the game with a double-double after recorded 10 rebounds to go along with her 11 points. She also stuffed the stat sheet further with four blocks, two steals and an assist.
 
Six of the eight Lady Rebels that played significant minutes in the game scored in double-digits, as well – paced by Deja Cage who led all players with 20 points. Ole Miss shot 52.3 percent from the floor and was 12-for-20 (60.0) from behind the arc.

Zomoria Clark finished with her first career double-double in the game, scoring 11 points and pulling down a career-best 10 rebounds.
- Freshman 
Aniyah Smith scored right around her team-best scoring average of 11.3 points per game with 12 in the contest.
- The Lady Hornets out-rebounded Ole Miss by 15 (48-33), marking the first time this season that ASU has lost a game after pulling down more rebounds than its opponent – previously 3-0.
