MONTGOMERY, Ala. | Alabama State will host the SWAC Pod II this weekend in Montgomery, however, they will prepare for the Pod with a home match against Mississippi Valley State Wednesday.

Alabama State will host the Delta Devils at 12 pm at the Olean Black Underwood Tennis Center, and admission is free to all home tennis matches. Both programs will look to extend conference winning streaks that have extended to two-plus years with victories this season.

On the women's side, Alabama State (4-8, 3-0 SWAC) will face Alcorn State Friday afternoon at 2 pm and Prairie View A&M Saturday at 2 pm at the Olean Black Underwood Tennis Center. They close out competition against Grambling State Sunday afternoon at 2 pm. Meanwhile, on the men's side, Alabama State (4-8, 2-0 SWAC) will face Alcorn State Friday afternoon at 2 pm at the Olean Black Underwood Tennis Center. They will face Prairie View A&M Saturday at 2 pm on the Alabama State campus.

The Pod will be played on the Alabama State campus, and Lagoon Park, with matches scheduled throughout the weekend. The weekend will feature a pair of matches at each site:

Friday, March 15
10 am – Southern vs. Mississippi Valley State (at Alabama State)
10 am – Jackson State vs. Alabama A&M (at Lagoon Park)

2 pm – Alabama State vs. Alcorn State (at Alabama State)
2 pm – Prairie View A&M vs. UAPB (at Lagoon Park)

Saturday, March 16
10 am – Jackson State vs. Mississippi Valley State (at Alabama State)
10 am – Southern vs. Alabama A&M (at Lagoon Park)

2 pm – Alabama State vs. Prairie View A&M (at Alabama State)
2 pm – Grambling State vs. Alcorn State (at Lagoon Park)

Sunday, March 17
10 am – Prairie View A&M vs. Alcorn State (at Alabama State)
10 am – UAPB vs. Alabama A&M (at Lagoon Park)

2 pm – Alabama State vs. Grambling State (at Alabama State)
2 pm – Southern vs. Jackson State (at Lagoon Park)
