Locker finishes second in heptathlon at Alabama Track Challenge

She led the event after the first day

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. | Latisha Locker finished second in the heptathlon at the Alabama Track Challenge hosted by Samford Friday night.

Locker finished the event with 4665 points, finishing just behind Brittany Floyd of UAB with 4731 points. She finished second to Floyd in the 800-meters in a time of 2:26.96, and in the javelin with a distance of 29.72 meters. She also finished second to Floyd in the long jump with a distance of 5.33 meters.

The track and field program continues their competition Saturday at the Gamecock Invitational at the University of South Carolina.
