CHARLESTON, S.C. | Alabama State scored early in their non-conference road matchup against Charleston Southern, before falling 3-1 after three unanswered goals by the Buccaneers Sunday afternoon.
Alabama State (1-6) scored first when
Isabella Beortegui took a pass from
Adrianna Zorrilla Loo and put in the back of net for a 1-0 lead in the 14th minute of the match. They held that lead until the 41st minute when Grace Harr tied the match at 1-all, before Charleston Southern took the lead just one minute later on a goal from Elise Borys.
The Bucs added an insurance goal in the 79th minute off the foot of Mason Pinkerton for the final margin.
