Media Credential Requests Portal Now Open for 2021 Basketball

MONTGOMERY, Ala. | The 2021 basketball media credential requests portal opened Sunday for those media members who are interested in covering Alabama State basketball, announced by the office of Athletic Strategic Communications.

Alabama State will play nine home dates, each a doubleheader, this season with new protocols in place due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Credentials will be issued to WORKING press only for games played at Dunn-Oliver Acadome, and passes will not be mailed this season. For those media members requesting and approved, credentials will be made available the day of the contest at the Dunn-Oliver Acadome. Media who are approved for credentials will be required to have their temperature checked and take part in a pre-screening questionnaire to receive their credential at the arena's main entrance.

Face coverings will be required in the arena at all times.

All media members will be seated in the upper bowl this season due to COVID-19 restrictions, with only the team's SID and radio members allowed on the floor. Only one photographer will be permitted at each contest and authorized by the Alabama State Strategic Communications Office. No photographers or videographers will be allowed on the floor at any point during the game but will be allowed on the lower rows not being used by spectators.

Alabama State's postgame press conference will occur via Zoom, and a link will be sent out before each contest.
